HVAC Problem: Your A/C has an
Electric Disconnect Problem

Your system has a problem with its electrical disconnect – the wire or “whip” that connects it.

This is a serious potential hazard because that electrical disconnect allows your system to shut down in an emergency.  Right now, since it’s not properly connected, there’s no telling what would happen in that scenario.  That potential for disaster is reason why this is a serious code violiation and should be corrected.

Potential Water Hazard

If the disconnect isn’t properly connected to your home, it can leave room for water to leak inside. Not only can that invading water cause damage to your house but it can collect in that area where your air conditioner’s wires run - and wires and water don’t mix!

Danger to Family, Friends & Pets

If it’s the wires, or whip, that isn’t properly installed, you have the potential of them being damaged or cut. A lose wire has potential to cause all types of problems and least of those is that it could shut down your air conditioner.  Someone in family or in your yard could be seriously injurned if they are around when those wires break.  All in all,  this is a serious matter and we urge you to call us so our technicians can restore your system to a safe working order.
